Investor AllStars 2008 awards recognise European VC excellence
At the prestigious Investor AllStars 2008 awards dinner in London, the organisers for the first time this year included nominations from continental Europe, in order to expand the reach of the awards and recognise the excellence in the world of European venture capital. The ten awards were presented at an awards ceremony, which took place on September 24, 2008 at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
The awards, now in their sixth year, were organised jointly by GP Bullhound, the investment bank specialising in technology, media and telecommunications, and Vitesse Media; once again, The Chilli was also a media partner at the event.
Nearly 600 of Europe’s leading entrepreneurs, venture capital professionals attended the awards ceremony. The keynote speaker and principal guest was Denis Payre, co-founder of one of Europe’s most successful and recognised software companies, Business Objects, and Belgian logistics company, Kiala. Denis addressed the audience about his experiences of working with venture funds for seventeen years.
