Acuid in administration - The Chilli perspective

Acuid was started in 1996 by Alex Deas from a management buyout of a design facility from Memory Corporation, located in Edinburgh, Scotland and in St Petersburg, Russia. It had had 40 engineering staff that grew to 70, and core expertise in high-speed data transfer technology with a unique timing technology solution for the semiconductor markets. Memory Corporation had a fantastic debut on the stock market, which later fizzled out during the tech crash; it was re-incarnated as Torridon and its assets were bought out by a Taiwanese company.
